The Cycle

Poverty leads to desperate situations, which can lead to sex trafficking, child labor, early marriage, depression, and more. If a person survives all of that, often their children are born into the same situation… and the cycle continues for generations… but you can step in to break the cycle.

Poverty

1 in 6 children live in extreme poverty around the world. $2.15 a day or less.

Child Trafficking

Every 2 minutes, a child is trafficked. Less than 2% of trafficking victims are ever rescued.

Child Labor

Nearly 1 in 10 children are subjected to forced labor worldwide. Half of which are in hazardous positions that negatively affect their health and development.

Child Marriage

Approximately 1 in 5 (21%) young women worldwide are married before the age of 18. Of those, South Asia and Sub-saharan Africa account for over 50% of all child brides globally.

Every Child Deserves Love
We didn't grasp the true impact of child sponsorship and how $38 makes a difference. After receiving our first update, we were overwhelmed with emotion. He gained weight! Ronnie was clean! He was interacting with others for the first time! As parents ourselves, Ronnie's story resonates deeply, reminding us that every child deserves love and support.

Walking Alongside Your Child
Ben and I first met Lonjezo in May 2021. It’s been a joy to know him and see his growth. Supporting T2S was an obvious next step—we trusted FCW to connect him with the right trade school and support. FCW is committed to holistic programs that empower young people—for their communities, the world, and the kingdom of God.

Experience as an FCW Social Worker
I serve as a social worker for FCW. My Favorite aspect about my job is being able to empower others by making a difference in the lives of the children, families and communities we serve. I have witnessed transformations in children and families as a result of FCW's various programs. My most memorable experience is the children's delight, enthusiasm, and smiles when we tell them that they've been chosen for sponsorship.

Eye Opening Trips
My recent trip to Uganda brought me not only across time zones and cultures but also through a deep shift in my perspective. The trip with FCW encompassed many experiences that I pray to carry with me for the rest of my life.

  • Empowered to Empower Others

    Megha

When Megha was only two years old, her father passed away and her mother suffered severe mental illness, making her unable to care for Megha and her brother. She has many terrible memories from her childhood. Eventually, she joined one of FCW’s India partner’s homes and was sponsored! There she found a family, unconditional love, and the ability to learn and be discipled. Megha is now 26 years old and works for the same ministry she grew up in!

  • Hope Found at Kipindi

    Shanitar

Shanitar, a 2024 Kipindi Mpito graduate, grew up in Nkokonjeru, caring for her widowed mother and younger siblings while struggling with thyroid complications. Unable to attend school due to financial hardship, she dug ditches to support her family. Now receiving treatment and support, she feels immense joy knowing she has the skills to care for her family.

  • From Abandonment to Belonging

    Shiva

"My name is Shiva. As an infant, my birth father sold me for gold and money, and I later discovered that my adoptive family wasn’t my real family. Abandoned and searching for belonging, I found hope through FCW's partner orphan home, where I learned that while people had forsaken me, God never would—He bought me with His own life, and in Him, I am loved, accepted, and have a future."
