Stories of Impact

  • Letter From Mefa | Malawi

"We really appreciate the love you always share with us in support of school materials, school fees, food as well as clothes. We don’t take this for granted. For we see some of our friends struggling for school fees but for us we are able to go to school whilst smiling because we are not chased at school. Another thing is this time of year, our guardians outside are struggling to find food as Malawi is facing a hunger crisis. But to us his grace has been sufficient as we are eating the whole day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. While those outside are sleeping on empty stomachs.

May God bless you all; thank you for listening."

  • Sandeep | India

Sandeep is a 15 year old from India. As a child, he had to work jobs like fetching water for neighbors and cleaning other people’s houses to help support his family. He longed for the leftover food of those he worked for. He was not able to go to school.

Thanks to FCW sponsorship, he no longer has to work but is able to go to school in order to carve out a future for himself. He wants to go to university. “I am no longer a child laborer, but I feel happy that I am like other children who get to go to school, study, and have sufficient food to eat.”

  • Brian & His Mother | Malawi

Brian's a disabled child in Malawi who came under FCW’s care when we first partnered with Everlasting Life Ministries. He was able to grow up in a safe and loving environment. His mother, a single parent and his full-time caregiver, faced immense challenges as he grew older. Recognizing their need for extra support, FCW provided them with a home and a bread oven—empowering his mother to start her own business. She now earns more each month than she received through sponsorship.

Too often, children like Brian are cast aside and forgotten. But through FCW’s sponsorship, he and his family have experienced the love of Christ and have been empowered to build a self-sufficient, meaningful life.

  • From Abandonment to Belonging

    Shiva

"My name is Shiva. As an infant, my birth father sold me for gold and money, and I later discovered that my adoptive family wasn’t my real family. Abandoned and searching for belonging, I found hope through FCW's partner orphan home, where I learned that while people had forsaken me, God never would—He bought me with His own life, and in Him, I am loved, accepted, and have a future."
